Hi guys. It's been a while since I wrote anything. In that period I've relocated countries and had to review a lot of personal choices and decisions. It's been a busy period for me, and I'm sorry for disappearing without notice.

As you might know, the Live Wallpaper Creator project is being worked on by two people. Alex and myself. We managed to push LWC up to 2.6. When we announced 3.0 we had grand ideas. Sadly due to our inexperience and excitement at the same time, we planned a little too much for us to handle and made a premature announcement that 3.0 was close to release. All of a sudden life started taking random turns and we could no longer work on LWC full time. Alex got busy with school. Other things took up a higher priority. I managed to last quite a bit longer, dedicating most of my time to LWC.

The engine for 3.0 got written, tested, scrapped, written again, and tested since. Now the engine is in beta, albeit a buggy one. The UI has been gradually taking shape. Alex is the one working on it, but as you can imagine when he's busy with school and personal life, he can only be working on it so much.

Sadly, my turn has come as well. I am no longer able to work on LWC full time. I've been able to do it for so long thanks to the ad revenues from my apps. LWC sales never really financed that much. I've tried to teach you whatever I knew as much as I could. We tried to create an easy to use solution so that everyone could plug something cool into the mobile world and possibly make a coin from it for themselves. I think we've achieved that. I'm sad to see that we were not able to grow as quickly as the ideas in our minds. We believe that LWC is a fantastic idea and has amazing potential. There is just a lot of work to do, and without proper financial backing or manpower it becomes a task too much.

Another factor is burnout. Working on something so grand for so long without producing any results is draining. There is pressure to release it. As much as we try to alleviate it by asking you to not keep bugging us about the release date, we realize that it's still there. At times it was difficult to persevere. While my life currently dictates that I spend less time on LWC, I also look forward to this break. I have to recharge before getting back into it. We are not a big company, we are just two people.

So what does this spell for LWC? I'm far too determined to fold the project! This just goes against my character. On the contrary, both Alex and I have invested a lot of thinking into it. We still talk about how to further develop it, any chance we get. Bottom line is, LWC will have to accept the role of being a hobby project. We will work on it in our spare time. I have no idea when 3.0 will be ready.

At the moment, I'm in the midst of a job search. I will be relocating once again in the coming months. I'm sure everyone can relate that time is limited under such circumstances, and there are more important things to tend to. Once things are a little more settled down, we will reorganize and see how we can improve the development process. Personally, I hate the long breaks between version releases, as I would prefer frequent patching to keep the software current. Alas, this is all part of a bigger learning process.

Please accept our apologies for getting your hopes up. We got our hopes up as well. For now, the best I can do is to offer you to continue building our amazing community. I've gotten to know quite a bit of you over the time. You guys are absolutely, 110% awesome! A lot of you have stuck with us for a long time, and I can't quite put it in words to explain how wonderful it makes us feel. I hope you don't feel it was a waste of your time, because I thoroughly enjoyed my time here! Our community is full of friendly, helpful, well-wishing people. It would be a pity to see it fade away. While LWC is taking a bit of a hiatus, I would like to take the opportunity and expand our forums to learning more about Android, app development, ad integration, UI/UX design, and more. I've learned so much since starting this project, and I am sure all of you have as well. We shouldn't stop here :) Let's continue learning and helping each other along the way! I would be so happy to share with you all I've learned on my journey so far :)

In summary, it's unfortunate that the road has been like this for us, but this is what makes us stronger. Let a new chapter in our book begin. I hope to see you all around! ;)

@Vas I think you should hire another third person to speed up the process, there are lot of freelancers who work for a cheaper price, this is just my idea. Hopefully the things will go well and I'll be very happy to use LWC 3 soon

I have to take a look at the old engine and see if it's viable. I'll check it out this weekend and let you guys know!

I just had a look at it. Honestly, you're better off modifying code in the LWC3 template. Introducing another group of items requires some serious uprooting. The old template is kinda messy and supporting manual modifications, especially something as drastic as another group of items, would be a headache for everyone. I also fear that the old engine might choke with extra items, so our efforts might end up foolhardy.

My advice is to get familiar with the LWC3 template. It's a lot better sorted and groups are already working. There's some manual work required, but not nearly as much as the old template would need. I think there was a bit of an issue with the web interface that I set up for the beta, which turned out to be a showstopper. The template uses JSON config files to build the wallpapers. The web interface was meant to produce those JSON files in a user-friendlier way. We can take it out of the equation and just modify the JSON directly. It won't be pretty looking, but if you were ready for messing with the old template, this should be a walk in the park in comparison. Plus you get all the other cool features of the LWC3 template ;)

If it's interesting even to one person, I'll make the change.

@Vas Ok do it Vas,sure we are interested :) , but first tell us Vas where to put json files, because me,sebastian and some other members had some difficulties with texture packer (this was new to us), you promised us a video tutorial but If you can't do that show us some pictures how to do it :)

Do not ask us for anything, if you think something is good for our live wallpapers just post it bro;), we accept everything.

OK, I'll have to update the code a little bit. Meanwhile, I recommend signing up for a github account. It's free and it's easier to get the code to your computer.

@TheShadow - There is no hope... I would recommend my approach.. look online at the many available courses and learn to program for android yourself... it'll give you more flexibility and once you create your own templates, producing in bulk is easy.
