What if = user 'just download the .apk file'?

    anyway just want to ask again,
    do startapp + airpush (or other adsformat) "doesn't mind" if our apps don't go to Google Play 'at all'??

    is the ads still working if user only download ONLY the .apk?
    is the dashboard result from .apk download 'count in' in the ads result like regular ads in GooglePlay too?

    anyone has try this and want to sharing his knowledge?
    because when we import the .sdk, they always asking for 'google play link' isn't?
    so what if it's not there? :/

    and anyone want to share the advantage or disanvantage for this method?

    Ads will still work. They are built in to the apk not the play store. You can host the apk on any site you want and provide that link as the download link. Only requirement is that it must be a free download for most ad agencies to confirm it. You would just put whatever site you host it on in the app/site url info. Google play is simply one of the "official" avenues and by no means is the only place you can post your aps. Heck if your brave enough you can even post them on your favorite forum!

    Ads will work no matter how the user gets the apk. I use this site for uploading and testing:
